How Many birds

“I made this photograph of a fabricated three dimensional world to embody the environment that I envision when listening to How Many Birds.  The two lines that spoke to me the most strongly in this song were “Don't know the way why can't the seas just part?” and “Do their wings carry on when their heart turns to stone…”. I interpreted this sculpturally by creating abstract hearts turned to stone as figures connected by many pathways and submerged in a sea.”
